Kanab, Utah
 

As the commercial center of a large ranching, farming, and recreational resource community, the city of Kanab is the county seat of Kane County. Often called “Little Hollywood” because of the long history of film-making in the area, Kanab annually welcomes thousands of visitors from throughout the world.

 

This town of 3,600 residents sits at the hub of several of the southwest's most beautiful National Parks, and offers many exciting vacation opportunities year-round. Kanab is located just seven miles  north of the Arizona border, at the crossroads of U.S. 89 and U.S. Alternate 89. Because of its convenient central location, Kanab can be accessed from the north, south, east, and west via main highways connecting this Regional Recreation center to Las Vegas, NV, Phoenix, AZ, Albuquerque, NM, Denver, CO, and Salt Lake City, UT.

 

Kanab is in the center of Utah's scenic Southwest it is located just north of the Arizona border, 80 miles east of St. George. Traveling along Scenic Byway U.S. 89 puts you less than 90 minutes from Bryce, Zion, and Grand Canyon National parks. Pipe Springs, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Coral Pink Sand Dunes and Kodachrome Basin State Park are just minutes away.

Glen Canyon National Recreation Area better know as Lake Powell is just a short 55 miles east.

Kanab is surrounded by the geologic scenery of the "i", ranging from Coral Pink Cliffs and Sand Dunes and volcanic craters and lava flows, to deep canyons and majestic mountains and plains.
